Mini-MasterChef

Our older children will have the opportunity to take part in some cooking activities here in nursery.  This is linked to the Health and Wellbeing focus in this years development plan. We’ll be talking about healthy eating as well as developing practical food prep skills. Do let us know if you hear the wee ones talking about this at home. Hopefully all of the children will be involved at some point.

September weekend

Nursery will be closed on Friday 26th and Monday 29th of September for this holiday.  Have fun if you’re doing something nice!

October week

Again, nursery will be closed on Friday 10th of October for an in service day, then the whole of the following week for the October week holiday. We re-open on Monday 20th of October.

Halloween Party

This takes place here in the hall on Sunday 26th of October. Our parent committee will be looking for helpers, and I’ll send out some reminders nearer the time for home baking etc.  This is one of the big fundraisers for the nursery, so please get involved, come along and enjoy the fun.  Spread the word!

Clothing

Can I ask you all to make sure you’re dressing the wee ones for the very changeable weather when bringing them in please? We try to get the children into the garden every day and it’s great if they have layers.  That way we can adapt to whatever the Scottish weather throws at us! Thank you.

Coffee Morning

I’m hoping to get a date for a coffee morning so our new families can get to know everyone. I’ll pop out a quick survey to see what day of the week works best for you all this year. That will let me get something in the diary.
